About me? Of course! Thanks for asking!
I am solidly Generation X, growing up as part of the “MTV generation.” I had big hair, wore pink IZODS and listened to Journey, with a little bit of Ramones mixed in because I was a rebel. It’s true I was. Ask my mother.
Being an Artist is a second half of life vocation. I didn’t start painting until I was 47. I had lots of other jobs before then like paid choir member, musical theatre actor, daycare teacher, retail manager, non-profit director, gardener, nightclub singer, process improvement manager and florist. I am actually still a florist and own my own shop.
I taught myself to paint. (And I can teach you how too.)
Some random, but hopefully mildly interesting facts about me:
- I cannot resist cool ranch Doritos.
- I am not a morning person.
- My brush with Hollywood fame was when Woody Harrelson and his friend unintentionally knocked me down while we were on the bunny slopes in Park City, Utah. He was very apologetic and nice.
- I am mom to 1, stepmom to 3. All boys. All adopted. Yes, my husband and I think that’s an odd coincidence too.
